I have been brought up around horses and have ridden ponies of my own since I was 2 years old. My sisters are competitive and as the youngest I followed suit. We all compete in different equine disciplines. My main discipline is Carriage Driving, I have been competed at National Horse Driving Trials, in the Horse Pairs class, and for the last 7 years.

Carriage driving was my main interest since I was 13. I started with a Shetland, then we bred two full brothers, Irish Draught x Thoroughbred, which I broke to drive as a pair, and competed sucessfully till 2007. Since then I have started to drive KWPN's as well as one of my original IDxTB who is the experienced member of the team, helping to bring on the young horses.

A highlight for my competition career would be coming fourth in the points league in 2006, which enabled me to qualify for Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2007, something I have always wanted to do, especially with horses I have bred and broke myself.

I now run a successful dentistry business in the Isle of Man and I also base myself in Congleton in Cheshire, which enables me to cover a wide area.

I also have the opportunity compete more, not just at Horse driving trials, but also at ridden dressage. Last year I completed many club events, but also some national competitions - Hopetoun House HDT in Scotland and Errdig HDT in Wales, where I qualified for the National Championships in the Open Pairs section, where I won the marathon and came 3rd overall. I was very pleased with this result as my younger horse is really coming on.This year I plan to continue competing at national level.
