I have been brought up around horses and have always had ponies of my own. My sisters are competitive and as the youngest I followed suit.

I have competed at all types of deciplines with various ponies, but carriage driving was my main interest since I was 13. I started with a shetland, then we bred two full brothers, Irish Draught x Thoroughbred, which I broke to drive as a pair, they are 12 and 13 this year, and then I added a KWPN to the team, who I've had for 3 years, he's now 6.

I have been competing on the national horse driving trials circuit, in the Horse Pairs class, and for the last 6 years travelling from the Isle of Man to do maybe 2 events and then home again.

In 2006 I stayed in England for the season and came fourth in the points league, which enabled me to qualify for Royal Windsor last year, where I competed in the national class.

Now I base myself in Congleton in Cheshire and in the Isle of Man, it has giving me the opportunity compete more at both deciplines, I decided to take a step back from carriage driving at national level after coming 3rd at Lowther in 2007. I have recently sold the younger brother and am competing in affiliated novice dressage, with Chance and Jag which has been going well. My aim is get to elementery level with both of them and start driving with club events and nationals in 2009, but keeping up with dressage!
